Savings and Spendings

September 21st, 2006 at 11:34 pm

I was kinda mad again.....I thought the bank had switched me to a newer momey market account about 6 weeks ago. I asked the bank manager about it as I have not received a statement....I was supposed to get it MONTHLY in the mail( yes I am old fashioned). Guess what they never switched it for some reason.
I wanted to get all mad and demand they pay the interest rate difference. Again....I decided not to male a big stink. I guess becasue I had dealt with someone over the phone. Dumb move. I learned a lesson. I have learned to deal with the bank with front doors and bricks. The bank manager has been very helpful to do some other things for me...so I decided to let it go and call it a day. I am now saving in a money market account earning more than I was before. Every bit helps. I have not done the on-line banking......just not too sure about that.

More things to buy--
(1) pointe shoes for daughter
(2) NIV study Bible for daughter
(3) dance leotard for daughter-her new one got ripped on the dance floor.
(4) dance pants for younger daughter
Hopefully the dance store is still having their sale!!!

will be hitting WAL MART on Friday for all the house staples.

While I can understand your reluctance because I shared it once I started using online banking I love it. It is so conevenient. I especially love the free bill pay feature I have.

    I love online banking too.
Don't forget to check ebay for many of the things on your list! They are all probably on there and at low prices!

Each time you make a change or request something from any company or organization over the phone, always get the names of people you speak with. Note the times and dates as well. You may not have to make a fuss to get the back interest or whatever you deserve (remember it's your money and your time!). The company phone rep should, most do, make an entry into the computer log of the transaction. So following up on the matter may be as simple as having them check their records.

"Oh, I see you did request the change on April Fools Day (just kidding). We will credit your account within 72 hours. Sorry for an inconvenience." They may even throw in some sort of bonus gift. Unfortunately, I have a few Smile
If you want to be sure the matter has been properly attended to, call back tomorrow and ask what the status is. They should have a record of it. If not, have them redo it.

Another option is to have them send you confirmation emails informing you on the status of your account. No email, something must be wrong.

Please complain. Companies and organization may not know a problem exists if no one brings it to their attention. . . and they won't know you are mad. Help them help you in the future. Present the facts with times and dates to them. Let them know (politely). We all benefit as consumers.
