Ive been having fun as well. I bought a few gifts over the summer when there was a great sale going on.

    jewelry
    make-up kits
    childs rocker and cradle
    childrens clothes
    tricycle & tonka truck
    golf balls
    southwestern kitchen accessories
    ProRodeo belt buckle
Tequila (for giving a Mexi-Fiesta in a basket)
    various liquors for DHs co-workers/boss
bath oils and soaps for friends

I pretty much just have some gift cards to buy now!! and I am hoping to find a nice deal on an I-pod for DD3. This was fun-

WOW! Nice list and how varied!
My problem is hiding my goodies and then remembering where I placed them! Enjoy getting organized and keep up the good work!

I understand...but if I do a little here and there and pick things up when I see them, it really helps. I feel less frazled and more in control of things.
I also can feel less pressure money wise for some reason. How about even just hitting one store and doing as much as you can there. I will do that sometimes. I just do not like shopping either. I used too....but not as much now. I would rather do other thngs! My older daugther likes to go to a very upscale shopping area. I have to force myself to go window shopping there. I love to be with her but all those highly overpriced stores are just crazy and very unsettling to my common sense of thrift! Good luck....one day at a time.

My girls all have their own homes or youngest will by Christmas and I have decided to give them money or gift certificates. I am trying to declutter my house after raising kids here for 19 years and I don't want to give gifts to my kids they may not want or like.

This is a big shift for me, I think seeing all the gifts people have given me that I hang onto out of guilt, plus being frugal has made the switch for me. Of course if my kids were still young, I would probably be buying stuff.

I haven’t started yet, but seeing that you have already done some I think it is time for me to do it as well. I’ll begin first by searching some jewelry for my wife, then a present for my daughter (no idea so far). Then I have to prepare some woods for the fireplace since we will be alone at least one night, just to remember the old and good times…
